Job Description

As a technical sales engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that prospects have a clear understanding of Magnolia's technical capabilities to meet their business goals through the delivery of RFPs, Sales Demos and custom Proof of Concepts during the sales cycle.

  • Act as the technical face of Magnolia to prospects during the sales cycle by providing tailored product demos to prospect business and technical teams within 10 days of initial demo request.
  • Responsible for completing all prospect RFPs within 72 hour turnaround of receiving the request.
  • Own and manage a database of pre-sales questions and answers to help ensure that all prospect RFPs can be turned around in a quick 72 hour turnaround to complete each RFP request.
  • Become a Magnolia capabilities expert, advising our prospects on how to develop their future technology / martech stack based on your industry experience creating leading solutions. 
  • Lead all Proof of Concept initiatives during the pre-sales process, working with Solutions Architects and sales team to assure timely delivery and success criteria are met.

What you bring in

  • Expertise: 4+ years of MarTech industry experience, including at least 2 years in sales engineering or technical consulting - ideally in a CMS/DXP/PaaS/SaaS/ environment
  • Strategic Thinking: ability to see and communicate the big picture in an inspiring way with a probing mind to achieve actionable insights
  • Persuasion: can speak confidently, steering conversations towards positive outcomes, and offer the kind of compelling arguments that lead to conversions focused on the solution
  • Honesty & Empathy: speaks plainly and truthfully to earn trust and maintain confidence while demonstrating the ability to understand another person’s emotions and understand their point of view
  • Efficiency: organize and plan effectively, focusing on key priorities to produce significant output with minimal wasted effort
  • Communication:
