Helping Customers and Prospects consider the right technology is crucial - through highly effective demonstrations/presentations for both business and technical stakeholders as well as support in solutions design of what an end scenario would look like.
As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring that prospects have a clear understanding of Magnolia's technical capabilities to meet their business goals through the delivery of RFPs, Sales Demos and custom Proof of Concepts during the sales cycle. You will help the Sales, Partner and Customer Success organisations navigate the complex technical landscapes of Digital Transformation projects and how Content Management Systems operate efficiently and effectively within them.

- Provide value during product presentations/demonstrations by showcasing Magnolia features and capabilities during initial product evaluations
- Help define solutions and relevant architectural footprints through solutions design workshops
- Present effective outcomes from both technical and business engagements through effective written or visual aids
- Define requirements and develop measurement strategies to ensure the Magnolia solution addresses the customers’ specific business needs.
- Provide expert know-how on development, integration, Magnolia deployment and system architecture, including backup strategies, load balancing, failover, security, multisite and general hosting configuration
- Support all diligence cycles around Cloud hosting, Security and Resilience
- Consult with existing clients to expand their usage of Magnolia or troubleshoot issues encountered.
- Build proof of concept and new modules, trace issues in client implementations, and propose solutions to maximise our customers’ business value
- Work constantly with cutting-edge technology to help customers reach their demanding goals in digital transformation
Who you are

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required
- Fluent in German (at least C1)
- +5 years of experience in software development, building or managing the development of a complex, commercial enterprise-class product. Experience with cloud-based installations and web services is a big plus.
- Proficiency with web development skills
- Proven software engineering skills in Java.
- Experience with a broad range of operating systems, application servers, databases, and related products (e.g. Unix, Solaris, OSX, Windows; WebSphere, WebLogic, Glassfish, Tomcat, JBoss; Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server etc.).
- Experience in Internet technologies: HTTP, HTML, XML, Web server, server-side Java, and databases.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- A strong commitment to timelines and deliverables.
- Willing and able to travel regularly within Europe.
